IT'S MILITARY

This summer I've been really into the military trend...wearing lots of olives and creams. I've even taken a liking to rocking a dark brown lip reminiscent of the 90's.  This one I'm wearing is called "Naughty by Nature" from Too Faced.

This Wild Child tee by Amuse Society describes me perfectly!! :)

I must say, SCHUTZ  gets my vote for the BEST summer shoes.  Their styles range from colorful, to simple.. to boho...vacation heels, or just plain sexy! This particular pair is light enough for day time and sexy enough for the last bit of those hot summer nights out.  Check it out! They are having a huge end of summer sale right now. (The saddle color don't seem to be available online, but should be at the stores. Unfortunately this color isn't on sale but is cute enough for full price, don't ya think??:)

Leopard as a Neutral

It seems counterintuitive to take something that can be bright and garish (like a leopard print) and incorporate it in your wardrobe as a neutral, but yet it totally works!  As long as you pair it with other neutral tones, leopard can go with anything. 

My touch of leopard in this particular outfit is The Ava backpack by Cleobella.  It's sold out everywhere, but you can buy this exact bag off my Poshmark here.

Leopard goes well with an all black outfit, or a leather jacket with a white tee and jeans, or with browns and olives like I am wearing in this post! Leopard really is the new neutral.  :)

Summer to Fall

When you live in a place like Southern Cali, (where the fall is basically a chilly morning, a hot day, then straight back to cold as soon as sundown,) how to dress for this finicky weather can be tricky.  For the most part, I'm grateful that I can wear my summer pieces still, and just wear them with more "fall" pieces like suede or maybe velvet!  Here I'm wearing my favorite chambray denim maxi skirt I wore all summer by Pistola Denim, along with a suede crop top, which because of its fabric, can be quite warm.  An outfit like this is ideal for when it's still hot during the day, then when the day ends...just wrap myself around a  big comfy cardigan!  How about you? How will you transition your summer pieces into fall to get more wear out of them?
