Rain or Shine, the Over the Knee Boot

It's been a rainy few days here in LA (thankfully), but today we get a little bit of sunshine!  Regardless of rain or shine, one look that is versatile for both during this winter is the "Over the Knee Boot," which is huge this season.

Perfect to wear with that short romper from summer/fall (like I'm wearing here), OTK boots are also great paired with jeans and chunky sweaters for when it's rainy.  It's a great way to bundle up when the weather isn't ideal, without sacrificing style. :)

Thankfully around this time, post Christmas/ New Year's, a lot of the boots are ON SALE.  So check out the links below to not only shop this look, but to also score some OTK boots on sale right now!

Happy Shopping!

Fall Floral Layering

Fall is finally here! Time to rock those layers, sweaters, scarves and high boots! Though leaves are falling, and it's indeed getting chillier, the weather in Southern California is still in the 70's and still warm most days.  How to dress for fall when it's not quite sweater weather where you are? Wear light layers! This floral kimono from  Love and Stitches Boutique is a perfect light piece to wear over a simple tank and pair with all the fall accessories...knee high socks, suede boots and a hat! Throw on some statement jewelry and you're good to go!

All the little details....
Necklace, Ring, Brushed Metallic Bracelets: Vanessa Mooney
Hat, Jeans: Brandy Melville

Lovin' My Birthday Dress

So for my birthday this year my girlfriends were throwing me a brunch, which was perfect because breakfast happens to be my favorite meal of the day and what girl doesn't love champagne?!?  I wanted to wear something girly and feminine and once I tried on this floral maxi by Some Days Lovin, I knew that was my birthday dress.

It's no secret I'm drawn to floral prints, which is a reflection of the girly girl side of me, but the high slits on both sides of this dress just added the right amount of sexiness.

Also love the seemingly demure halter neckline. It covers cleavage but are cut somewhat low on the sides.

With just a simple gold link chain bracelet, I was ready to go and celebrate!

Girl with the most cake! :)
